[런던=AP/KNS뉴스통신] 영국 국방부는 남부 아프간에서 영국군이 타고 있던 차량이 폭발하면서 실종된 6명이 사망한 것으로 발표했다.
7일 영국 국방부는 성명서를 발표하고 폭발당시 이들 6명은 아프간 헬만드주에서 순찰 중이었다고 발표했다.
올해 들어와서 지금까지 아프간에서 나토 소속 병사 54명이 사망했는데 미군이 38명, 영국군이 4명으로 알려졌다.

6 UK troops missing, presumed dead in Afghanistan
LONDON (AP) — Britain's Ministry of Defense says six service members are missing and presumed dead after an explosion hit their vehicle in southern Afghanistan.
The ministry said in a statement Wednesday the six were on patrol in Helmand province at the time of the blast.
So far this year, 54 NATO troops have been killed in Afghanistan, including 38 from the United States and four from Britain.
The families of the soldiers have been informed.
