[취리히=AP/KNS뉴스통신] 국제축구연맹 (FIFA)은 2011년 30억 달러에 달하는 전 세계 축구선수 이적에 관한 금융 거래를 처리했다고 밝히고 유럽축구연맹의 재무 패어 플레이 규정 (FFP)에 따라 유럽축구연맹에 통보할 것이라고 발표했다.
프로 선수가 국제 이적을 하려면 ITC(국제이적동의서) 발급을 받아야 하는데 FIFA가 개설한 은행계좌를 통해서만 거래가 이루어져야 하는 TMS 제도의 시행 첫해에 1만 1,500명의 선수가 이동했다고 FIFA가 밝혔다. 이는 자금세탁과 부정한 거래를 막기 위해 제정한 제도이다
FIFA는 지난 해 1,500명의 브라질 선수가 국제간 이적을 했다고 밝혔다.
지난 해 선수 평균 이적료는 한 명당 1백 50만 달러로 알려졌다. 이는 동일 국가의 축구 구단사이의 선수 이적료는 포함되지 않은 액수이다.

FIFA processes $3bn in player transfers in 2011
ZURICH (AP) — FIFA says it processed international transfer deals worth $3 billion (€2.25 billion) in 2011, and will share payment details with UEFA to help monitor European financial fair play rules.
FIFA says 11,500 players made cross-b order moves in the first calendar year operating its Transfer Matching System, which aims to curb money laundering and corrupt deals.
The mandatory online project requires buying and selling clubs to input matching information, including payment schedules, before a transfer is approved.
FIFA says more than 1,500 Brazilian players were transferred internationally last year.
The average transfer fee across all deals was $1.5 million.
The figures exclude players moving betweem clubs in the same country.
