[런던=AP/KNS뉴스통신] 로이드 은행그룹의 이사 가운데 몇 명이 이미 수령한 보너스를 반납해야 할 처지로 은행이 지급보장보험에서 거액의 손실을 입었기 때문인 것으로 알려졌다.
로이드 은행은 이 보험 가입자들에게 32억 파운드 (51억 달러)를 상환해 줄 수 있도록 자금을 충당했다.
20일 데일리 텔레그래프는 기 지급한 보너스에서 1백만 파운드 이상을 회수해야 한다고 보도했다.
전 최고 경영자인 에릭 다니엘은 2010년 보너스의 4분의 1인 36만 파운드를 반납해야 한다고 보도했다.
영국 BBC는 3명의 전 현직 이사가 각각 25만 파운드를, 또 다른 6명의 이사는 10만 파운드씩을 반납해야 한다고 보도했다.
로이드 은행 그룹은 이 보도에 대해 논평을 하지 않았다.

Report: Lloyds Banking Group to claw back bonuses
LONDON (AP) — News reports say that some executives of Lloyds Banking Group will have some of their past bonuses taken away because the bank needs to make up for big losses incurred on payment protection insurance.
Lloyds has set aside 3.2 billion pounds ($5.1 billion) to reimburse buyers of the policies.
The Daily Telegraph newspaper said in Monday's edition that more than 1 million pounds might be clawed back.
It says former chief executive Eric Daniels could lose at least 360,000 pounds, or a quarter of his bonus for 2010.
The BBC says three other current and former directors would lose up to 250,000 pounds while six other executives each stand to lose about 100,000 pounds.
Lloyds Banking Group says it is not commenting on the reports.
