[예루살렘=AP/KNS뉴스통신] 이스라엘 대법원의 대변인은 이달 초 군사 법정에서 소청 심사를 거부한 바 있는 팔레스타인 주민인 카데르 아드난 (33)에 대한 심리를 한다고 발표했다.
아드난은 지난 해 12월 웨스트 뱅크에서 체포된 이후 음식을 거부하고 있다. 그는 팔레스타인 주민을 “행정적 억류”로 구금하고 있는 이스라엘의 정책에 항의하면서 단식투쟁을 하고 있다.
20일 대법원 대변인은 아드난의 소청을 23일 심리할 것이라고 법원의 규정에 의해 익명으로 발표했다.
아드난은 팔레스타인 주민 가운데 최장 기간 단식 투쟁을 하면서 항거하고 있는데 그를 돌보는 의사는 심리 이전에 그가 사망할 수 있다고 경고했다.
아드난은 무장 단체 이슬람 지하드의 대변인이었다.

Israel top court takes Palestinian detainee appeal
JERUSALEM (AP) — A spokeswoman for Israeli courts says the Supreme Court will hear the case of Palestinian hunger striker Khader Adnan after a military judge rejected his appeal earlier this month.
Adnan, 33, has refused food since he was arrested in the West Bank in December. He is protesting an Israeli policy of holding Palestinian "administrative detainees" for months without trial, presented evidence or formal charges.
The spokeswoman said on Monday that the Supreme Court will hear Adnan's appeal on Thursday. She spoke on condition of anonymity in line with court regulations.
Adnan is the longest Palestinian detainee hunger strike in history. His doctors warned he may die before the hearing.
Adnan was a spokesman for the militant group Islamic Jihad.
