[해컨색, 뉴저지=AP/KNS뉴스통신] 언니의 미국 입국 비자문제로 분쟁에 휩싸였던 5세 여아가 골수이식 수술을 받은 후 퇴원했다.
지난 달 해컨색 대학 메디컬 센터에서 동생인 야레리스 본일라에게 골수를 제공한 언니 기셀레 본일라 라미레스가 20일 오후 기자와 사진사들의 보는 가운데 휠체어를 타고 병원에서 퇴원했다. 의사들은 언니가 완전히 회복한 것으로 판단했다.
미국 동생의 할머니와 함께 엘살바도르에 거주하고 있는 언니는 동생과 골수가 완전 일치한 것으로 판명 됐으나 미국 입국 비자 발급을 두 차례 거절당했었다. 결국 그녀는 인도적 입국 비자를 발아 입국했었다.

US girl in transplant visa flap leaves hospital
HACKENSACK, New Jersey (AP) — A 5-year-old New Jersey girl whose bone marrow transplant was complicated by a visa dispute involving her older sister has left the hospital.
Yarelis Bonilla received the transplant last month at Hackensack University Medical Center from older sister Gisselle Bonilla Ramirez. She was wheeled out of the hospital Monday afternoon to a crowd of reporters and photographers. Doctors say they expect her to make a complete recovery.
The older sister lives with the girls' grandmother in El Salvador and was found to be a perfect match. But she was twice denied a visitor visa to come to the U.S. Eventually she was granted a humanitarian visa.
