홍콩 (AP) - 홍콩 증권거래소에서 중국 역외의 첫 번째 위안화표시 주식이 상장됐다.
29일 홍콩시장에서 위안화를 통해 첫 거래되는 주식은 '후이시안 부동산 투자신탁(Hui Xian REITs)' 이라는 종목으로 공모가격의 하한선인 주당 5.24위안에 거래된다.
후이시안 부동산 리츠는 이번 공모를 통해 100억4천8백만 위안 (16억 달러)을 조달했다.
이번의 위안화표시주식 상장은 중국이 위안화를 국제통화화 하려는 가장 최근의 시도로 보여 진다. 위안화 가치 절상 속도가 빨라지자 해외의 투자자들은 중국 금융상품에 높은 관심을 표시하고 있다.
후이시안 부동산 투자 신탁은 홍콩 최대 갑부인 이가성 회장이 최대 주주로, 북경의 가장 큰 상업용 부동산 중 하나인 북경 오리엔탈 플라자의 부동산 소유권이 자산이다.
이번 공모로 투자신탁은 전체주식의 40%인, 20억 주를 투자자들에게 판매했다.

1st yuan shares to trade outside China make debut
HONG KONG (AP) — The first yuan-denominated shares to trade outside of mainland China are making their debut in Hong Kong.
Units in Hui Xian Real Estate Investment Trust are set to begin trading Friday at the offer price of 5.24 yuan, at the bottom end of the proposed issue price range.
The initial public offering raised 10.48 billion yuan ($1.6 billion).
It's the latest step in attempts to broaden the use of China's currency. Investor interest in financial products is surging because of the growing strength of the yuan, also known as the renminbi.
Hui Xian's sole asset is the Oriental Plaza, a complex in Beijing controlled by billionaire Li Ka-shing, Hong Kong's richest man. Two billion units in the trust, or 40 percent, were sold to investors.
