[브뤼셀=AP/KNS뉴스통신] 유럽연합 최고재판소는 프랑스의 항소를 기각하고 이란 반정부 단체를 EU의 테러리스트에서 삭제하도록 결정했다.
룩셈부르크에 위치한 유럽재판소는 21일 판결에서 유럽각국 정부가 이란의 반체제단체인 ‘인민무자헤딘조직’의 방위권을 위반했으며 이 단체를 블랙리스트에 올려야 한다는 충분한 증거를 제출하지 못했다는 2008년의 하급 재판소 판결을 확인했다.
2009년 1월 유럽연합은 이 단체를 테러리스트에서 삭제하도록 결정하고 자금에 대한 제한을 해제했다. 그러나 프랑스는 이 결정에 반복하여 항소했다.

EU Court keeps Iran group off terror list
BRUSSELS (AP) — The European Union's highest court has rejected a French appeal and kept a leading Iran opposition group off the EU terror list.
The Luxemourg-based European Court of Justice said in Wednesday's ruling that it confirmed a 2008 lower court ruling that EU governments violated the rights of defense of the People's Mujahedeen Organization of Iran, and that the EU nations had not provided sufficient proof to blacklist the group.
In January 2009, the European Union decided to remove the Iranian opposition group from its terror list and lift the restrictions on its funds. France had appealed that decision.
