[산타아나, 캘리포니아=AP/KNS뉴스통신] LA 레이커스의 스타 코비 브라이언트와 부인인 바네싸는 화해할 수 없는 차이로 이혼한다.
바네사 브라이언트는 16일 캘리포니아 산타아나 법원에 이혼서류를 제출했다.
브라이언트 부부의 대변인은 성명서를 발표하고 “이혼에 관련된 모든 문제를 변호사의 조력을 받아서 사적으로 해결했으며 2012년부터 부부관계가 종결될 것이다”라고 말했다.
이들 부부는 10년 6개월 동안 결혼생활을 지속했으며 8세와 5세의 두 딸을 두고 있다.
브라이언트 부부는 “우리의 어린 딸들의 이해와 앞으로 다가오는 축제 기간 동안의 어려운 시기에 우리의 사생활을 보호해 줄 것을 여러분 들에게 바란다”고 성명을 발표했다.

Kobe Bryant's wife files for divorce
SANTA ANA, California (AP) — Kobe Bryant's wife, Vanessa, has filed for divorce from the Los Angeles Lakers star, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
Vanessa Bryant filed papers in court on Friday in Santa Ana, California.
A representative for the couple released a statement saying, "The Bryants have resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately with the assistance of counsel and a Judgment dissolving their marital status will be entered in 2012."
The couple have been married for 10½ years and have two daughters, ages 8 and 5.
In the statement, the Bryants "ask that in the interest of our young children and in light of the upcoming holiday season the public respect our privacy during this difficult time."
