22일(현지시각) 잉글랜드 맨체스터 올드 트라포드에서 열린 ‘2011-2012 잉글리시 프리미어리그(EPL) 2라운드에서 홈팀의 잇점을 내세운 맨유가 토트넘을 3-0 으로 격파했다.
이날 경기에서 맨유의 알렉스 퍼거슨 감독은 젊은 선수들로 수비진을 구성, 웨인 루니와 대니 웰백, 안데르송 등이 득점에 성공하며 완벽한 포메이션의 성공을 거뒀다. 한편 박지성은 후반 37분 교체출장으로 올 시즌 첫 출전을 알렸다.
