[모스코바=신화통신/KNS뉴스통신] 러시아의 블라다미르 푸틴 수상이 24일(토) 2012년 대통령 선거에 그가 출마할 것이라고 말했다.
집권 연합러시아당의 연차 전당대회에서 드미트리 메드베데프 러시아대통령이 푸틴에게 대통령 직 출마를 제안한 이후 푸틴은 오래 기다려온 이 결정을 공표한 것이다.
현재 수상에 재직 중인 푸틴은 “메드베데프 현 대통령으로부터 명예로운 제안을 받은 뒤 그것을 수락하기로 결정했다”고 말했다. 또 푸틴은 메드베데프가 2012년 선거후에 수상이 되며, 집권당은 12월 총선거에서 승리할 것으로 확신한다고 언급했다.
그는 “연합러시아당이 승리하고 아나톨리에비치 메드베데프가 새롭고 효율적이며 젊은 팀을 구성해 정부를 이끌 것이다"며 "우리 생활의 모든 면에서 현대화를 지속할 수 있을 것이라고 확신합니다”라고 덧붙였다.

MOSCOW, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Saturday that he will run for president in 2012.
He announced the long-awaited decision after President Dmitry Medvedev proposed Putin run for the top post at the ruling United Russia party's annual congress.
Putin, who currently serves as prime minister, said he was honored by the proposal from Medvedev and decided to accept it. Putin also said he was confident that Medvedev would become prime minister after the 2012 election and the ruling party would win in the parliamentary elections in December.
"I am sure that United Russia will win and Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev will be able to build a new, efficient and young team and lead the government so as to continue modernization of all aspects of our lives,"
