[파리=신화/KNS] 22일 프랑스 니콜라 사르코지 대통령이 파리에서 열린 G20 농업장관 모임에서 농산물가격의 급격한 변동에 대처하는 공동행동계획을 채택하도록 촉구했다.
사르코지 대통령은 세계시장에서 농산물가격 안정을 위해 재투자, 투명성향상, 조정및 규제강화 조치에 기초한 공동행동 계획안을 채택하도록 참가한 장관들에게 촉구했다.
사르코지 대통령은 “공동행동계획을 채택함으로써 수십억에 달하는 소규모 농민의 생활에 변화뿐 아니라 자본주의의 방향도 바꿀 수 있다” “전세계가 당신들의 결정과 행동에 의존하고 있으며 더 이상 기다릴 시간이 없다” 고 말했다.
그는 농산물 시장의 불안정을 진정시킬 수 있는 주요 수단으로 농업에 대한 투자를 늘려야 한다고 하면서 “세계 농산물 생산량이 수요에 비해 너무 적어서 이것이 장래에 더욱 심각한 문제로 대두할 것으로 본다” 면서 현재의 모든 농업생산을 총동원할 필요성에 대해 역설했다.
사르코지 대통령은 시장가격의 변동성의 또 다른 요인으로 농업에서의 투명성 부족을 들었다. 국제사회가 더 많은 조정을 하면서 농산물 가격의 안정에 도움이 될 것이라고 했다.

Sarkozy calls on G20 to adopt common actions against agriculture market volatility
PARIS, June 22 (Xinhua) -- French President Nicolas Sarkozy called on the Group of 20 to adopt common actions against the volatility of agriculture markets on Wednesday, was G20 agricultural ministers gathered in Paris for their first meeting under France's chairmanship.
Welcoming agricultural ministers from the twenty most influential countries at the Elysee Palace, Sarkozy urged the participants to adopt a common action plan based on "reinvestment, transparency, coordination, regulation" to ensure food security in the world.
"By adopting this plan, you can change not only the lives of over one billion peasants, but also the course of capitalism ... The whole world relies on your decision, your action, the world can't wait any longer," he said.
According to Sarkozy, strengthening investment in agriculture is the key tool to curb the instability of the agricultural market. "Global agricultural production is too low, compared to demand, and it will be even more serious tomorrow," which requires mobilization of all farming of today, Sarkozy said.
The French president cited the lack of transparency in agriculture as another source of market instability, and said more and better coordination in the international community can contribute to a stable agricultural market.
