China approves economic plan, no political changes
BEIJING (AP) — China has closed its annual legislative session by approving economic plans for the next five years but has rejected any hints of political reforms.
The 3,000 members of the National People's Congress approved the plan Monday that aims to empower consumers. It calls for creating self-sustaining growth based on domestic consumption and reducing China's reliance on exports and investment.
The Five-Year Plan is a throwback to central planning but a useful road map of Communist Party goals.
The government said at the beginning of the 10-day session that it planned to boost defense spending by 12.7 percent this year. A legislative spokesman said Beijing's return to double-digit military growth after a dip in 2010 is not a threat to other countries.

중국 경제계획 승인, 정치개혁은 안 해

5개년 경제계획은 계획을 중앙으로 집중하는 것이며 공산당이 추구하는 목표를 달성하는데 유용한 지침으로 사용된다.
중국정부는 10일 동안 열리는 회의 초두에서 올해 12.7%의 국방비 증가 계획을 발표했다. 대표자회의 대변인은 중국 국방비가 2010면 감소 한 이래 올해 다시 두 자리 숫자 증가하는 것은 다른 나라에 위협이 되지는 않는다고 말했다.
