SKorean coast guard confronts Chinese fishing boat
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — South Korea's coast guard says a Chinese fisherman and a South Korean coast guard officer are being treated at a hospital after a confrontation off South Korea's west coast over illegal fishing.
The coast guard said Friday that it detained a Chinese fishing boat Thursday afternoon within South Korea's exclusive economic zone in the Yellow Sea.
Officials say the Chinese crew wielded axes and hammers when the coast guard tried to inspect the boat, injuring one South Korean officer. The South Koreans opened fire, injuring a Chinese crewman in the thigh.
The coast guard arrested all 10 crewmen on the Chinese boat. They were bringing the Chinese boat to Taean port on South Korea's west coast Friday.

한국 해양경비대 중국 어선 나포
서울 (AP) - 한국 해양경비대는 한국 서해에서 벌어지는 중국 어선의 불법 어로행위를 단속하면서 부상당한 중국 어부와 한국 해양 경비대원이 치료를 받고 있다고 말했다.
