[런던=AP/KNS뉴스통신] 지난 6일(현지시각) 2012런던올림픽 여자 투포환에서 금메달을 목에 건 나제야 오스탑추크(32)가 약물 도핑 테스트에서 금지약물에 양성반응이 나와 금메달을 박탈당했다.
13일(현지시각)AP통신은 "오스탑추크가 대회 기간 실시한 두 차례의 소변 검사에서 금지 약물인 스테로이드 메텐놀론(metenolone)에 양성 반응이 나타나 국제올림픽위원회(IOC)가 박탈을 결정했다"고 보도했다.
21.36m의 기록으로 금메달을 목에 건 그의 금메달 박탈로 은메달 리스트인 뉴질랜드의 발레리 애덤스가 금메달을 이어받았고, 러시아의 에브게니아가 은메달로 메달 색이 바뀌었다. 이어 4위였던 중국의 공 리자오가 동메달의 영광을 안았다.
Ostapchuk became the first athlete to be stripped of a medal at the London Olympics after her gold was withdrawn for doping. Valerie Adams of New Zealand will now take gold and Evgeniia Kolodko of Russia will get silver. Fourth-place finisher Gong Lijiao of China moves up to bronze. The International Olympic Committee said Monday Aug. 13, 2012 that Ostapchuk tested positive for the steroid metenolone. She won the shot put exactly a week earlier. The IOC says she was tested the day before her competition and again following the event. Both samples were positive.
