[KNS뉴스통신=황세바 기자] 프랑스에서 현재 시행중인 전국 통행금지령(18시~06시)과 작년부터 이어진 실내 스포츠 활동 금지령에도 불구하고 한국 무술을 좋아하는 프랑스인들을 응원하기 위해 ‘놀라운 한국 무술 축제’라는 이름으로 오늘(1월21일)부터 10일간 온라인 화상 미팅 프로그램 Zoom(줌)을 통해 한국 무술 행사가 열린다.
프랑스는 코로나19에 따른 위생규정으로 실내 운동장이나 체육관에서의 스포츠 활동을 금하고 있다. 단 몇 가지 제약이 있지만 실외 스포츠는 가능하다.
통계에 따르면 파리는 서울보다 일반적으로 강우량이 많고 일조량은 적다. 그 우울한(혹은 낭만적인?) 날씨와 더불어 코로나19 팬데믹으로 인한 지난 수개월 간의 격리 생활은 야외 스포츠를 즐기는 프랑스 인들이 얼마나 사기가 저하되었을지 이해 할 수 있을 것이다.
이 행사는 한국과 프랑스 출신으로 구성된 8명의 무술 마스터들이 화상으로 진행할 예정이다. 한국인 엄재영 (2011 WTF 세계태권도 품새선수권대회 1위), 프랑스인 다미아노 마튜(2016 ISKA 풀컨택트 세계 챔피언) 이렇게 2명의 세계 챔피언이 참여하며, 이강종(세계합기무도 부회장), 안재로(태권도 8단), 유래형(해동검도 6단), 리지 스테파노(태권도 5단) 그리고 여성 지도자 2인: 박슬기(태권도 5단), 황혜진(택견, 호패술) 다양한 한국무술 마스터들이 참여한다.
축제 주최자 인 Daniel FORMICHI(다니엘 포르미쉬)는 오랬동안 지속되고 있는 시설폐쇄로 인해 400여 명 학생들 중 결석이 계속해서 증가하고 있다며, 따라서 그는 사회적 제한을 우회 하여 학생들에게는 무료로 제공하고 적당한 비용으로 다른 사람들도 함께 참여 할 수 있도록 온라인으로 축제를 조직하기로 결정했다고 한다.
‘놀라운’ 축제라는 행사명은 축제의 모든 프로그램이 48시간 안에 결정 되어 자연스럽게 지어 졌다고 한다. 포르미쉬는 한국 문화에 관심이 많고 태권도, 해동검도, 합기무도를 온라인으로 가르치고 있다. 또한 이와 같은 한국 무술 축제를 그의 몽펠리에 태권도 협회(MTKD34)와 함께 2006년부터 주최해왔다.

Despite the French curfew and ban on indoor sports practice, the so called "Incredible Festival of Korean Martial Arts" is due to take place online on Zoom as of today January 21st and for 10 days in an effort to reboost French enthusiasts of Korean martial arts.
France current sanitary regulations forbid sport practice in covered sport facilities and indoor gymnasiums. What remains possible though is the practice of sports outside, albeit in uncomfortable conditions : satistics say that there is usually less sunshine and more rainfall in the French capital than in Seoul. Add to that gloomy (or perhaps romantic?) weather the Covid-19 pandemic with its never seen before months-long lockdowns and you'll understand the demotivational factor that French people encounter when trying to go out to practice their favorite sport.
This event will feature a succession of videoconference masterclasses with eight experts of their field, from South Korea and France including two world champions: UM Jaeyoung, 1st place in 2011 World Taekwondo Poumsae competition and Mathieu DAMIANO, from France, the pro ISKA full-contact World Champion of 2016. Other masters include LEE Kang-Jong World Hapkimudo Federation vice-president), AHN Jae Ro (TKD 8th Dan), YU Rea Young Haedong Kumdo 6th Dan), Stefano RIZZI (TKD 5th Dan) as well as two Korean female masters : PARK Seulki (TKD 5th Dan) and Hejine BRESSY-HWANG (Taekkyon and Hopaesool teacher based in France).
The festival organizer Daniel FORMICHI told us he witnessed an increasing absenteeism among his +-400 students due to the long lasting lockdowns. He therefore decided to organize the festival online to bypass the restrictions and make it free for his students and accessible to others for a moderate fee.
The event's name "incredible" naturally occurred as the whole program was settled within 48 hours by FORMICHI, an enthusiast of Korean culture and instructor of Taekwondo, Haedong Kumdo and Hapkimudo who teaches online and has organized offline martial arts festivals in Montpellier with his association "MTKD34" since 2006.
