프랑크푸르트, 독일 (AP) - 독일의 바이엘 화학제약회사의 금년 1분기 순익은 6억8천4백만 유로로, 8.4% 증가했으며 금년도 예상수익도 증가할 것으로 보인다.
세계 경제가 침체된 가운데 바이엘은 28일 첨단물질과 농업용 화학약품부문에서 작년 동기와 비교했을 때 더 좋은 영업성적을 올린 것으로 발표했다.
매출은 13.2% 증가, 94억 유로를 달성했다.
바이엘은 올해 예상매출과 수익을 모두 증액했다. 바이엘은 독일의 레버쿠젠에 본부를 두고 있다.

Bayer Q1 net up 8.4 percent, raises outlook
FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — Chemical and drug company Bayer AG says net profit rose 8.4 percent to €684 million in the first quarter and it is raising its outlook for the year.
The company said Thursday its businesses in high-tech materials and farm chemicals did better compared with the same quarter a year ago, when the economy was still hampered by the financial crisis.
Sales rose 13.2 percent to €9.4 billion.
The company raised its forecast for both sales and earnings. Bayer is based in Leverkusen, Germany.
