보아, 하이난 - 후진 타오 중국 국가주석은 15일 하이난 성에서 열린 2011년 보아포럼에 참석한 대만의 양안 간 공동시장 재단의 고위 고문에게 타이완 해협의 양측은 상호간의 신뢰감을 높이고 평화를 위해 호혜적 협력관계를 증진하자면서 양안간에 어렵게 이룬 긍정적인 관계를 소중히 유지발전 시키자고 양측에 촉구했다.
대만 대표단은 후 주석의 의견에 동의를 표시하고 하이난 싼야에서 14일 열린 보아포럼 10주년 기념일과 브릭스 5개국 정상회담의 성공을 축하했다. 대만 대표단장은 후 주석에게 마잉주 대만 국민당 총통의 인사말을 전하고 후 주석도 인사말을 부탁했다.
후 주석은 대만 기업인들이 과거 10년 동안 보아포럼의 발전에 공로해 준데 감사한다고 말하고 아시아와 세계 경제발전을 위해 적극적인 노력을 계속해 줄 것을 바란다고 했다. 이번으로 후 주석은 전 세계에서 1,400명 이상의 정치계, 재계, 학계의 세계적 지도자들이 참가한 비정부 플랫폼인 보아 포럼에 3번째 참석했다.

President Hu calls for deepening cooperation between mainland, Taiwan
BOAO, Hainan, April 15 (Xinhua) -- President Hu Jintao on Friday called on both sides of the Taiwan Strait to continue increasing mutual trust and deepening cooperation to create more favorable conditions for the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations.
Hu was speaking to Frederick Chien, top advisor of the Taiwan-based Cross-Straits Common Market Foundation, who headed a delegation to the 2011 annual meeting of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) held in the southern island province of Hainan.
Hu called on the two sides to cherish and safeguard the hard-earned and positive situation of the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations.
Chien agreed with Hu's opinions. He extended congratulations for the 10th anniversary of the inauguration of the Boao Forum and the success of the third BRICS Summit held Thursday in Hainan's Sanya.
Chien conveyed to Hu the greetings from Ma Ying-jeou, chairman of Kuomintang (KMT), while Hu also asked Chien to send his regards to Ma.
Besides entrepreneurs from Taiwan, Hu also met with major guests and representatives of the BFA.
He thanked them for their contribution to the development of the forum in the past 10 years and expressed the hope that they could continue to play a positive role in promoting the economic development of Asia and the world.
It was the third time that President Hu attended the BFA, a non-governmental platform for global leaders in the political, business and academic spheres. More than 1,400 people from around the globe attended the meeting.
