Hamas seeks calm, stability in Gaza: spokesman
GAZA, March 23 (Xinhua) -- The deposed Hamas government that rules the Gaza Strip announced Wednesday that it is seeking to calm the growing violence in the enclave.
Spokesman of the Hamas government, said in a press statement sent to Xinhua that "we reiterate that our position is to firmly restore stability and work on calming down the situation in the field."
"The government has been making internal and external contacts to avoid the Gaza Strip's new confrontation with Israel," said al- Nouno, adding that the interior and foreign ministries are working on blocking the Israeli attempt to wage another war on Gaza.
He also stressed that his government rejects the Israeli policy that aims at dragging the Palestinian people and the armed factions into the escalation of violence in order to save the Israeli government from its current political crisis.
The Hamas spokesman also called on the Arab League for immediate move "to halt any new Zionist aggression on the Palestinian people and prevent Israel from using the current situation in the region to commit more massacres here."

알-누노 대변인은 “하마스 정부는 가자지구에서 이스라엘과 새로운 대결국면을 피하기 위해 대 내외적인 접촉을 갖고 있다” 고 말하고 내무부와 외무부가 가자지구에서 또 다른 전쟁을 시도하려는 이스라엘의 기도를 막기 위해 노력하고 있다 고 말했다.
그 대변인은 이스라엘이 현재의 국내 정치위기를 타개하기 위해 팔레스타인 사람들과 여러 군사 조직을 폭력의 에스컬레이션 속으로 끌어 들일 여는 이스라엘의 정책을 거부한다고 강조했다.
또한 하마스 대변인은 아랍리그에 대해서 “팔레스타인 사람에 대한 시오니스트의 새로운 침략을 막고 이스라엘이 가자지구에서 더 많은 학살을 자행하기 위해 현 상황을 악용하려는 것을 방지하기 위한” 즉각적인 조치를 취해 줄 것을 촉구했다.
