[베를린=AP/KNS뉴스통신] 여름 휴가철이 다가오면서 독일의 7월 실업률이 7%에 접근하고 있는 것으로 알려졌다.
독일 연방노동청은 28일 7월에 등록한 실업자가 293만 9,000명으로 6월에 비해 4만 6,000명이 증가한 것으로 발표했다.
그러나 노동청 관계자는 “독일의 수출이 강세를 보이고 국내수요가 살아나면서 인력 수요가 높게 나타나고 있다“고 말했다.
유럽 제일의 경제대국인 독일이 17개 유로존 국가가운데 글로벌 경제침체를 극복한 나라로 돋보인다.

BERLIN (AP) — Official figures show that Germany's unemployment rate inched up to 7 percent in July as the onset of summer vacation affected the nation's otherwise strong labor market.
The Federal Labor Agency said Thursday that the unadjusted jobless rate climbed by 0.1 percentage point in July, with 2.939 million people registered as unemployed. That was 46,000 more than in June but 247,000 lower than July of last year.
Heinrich Alt, a labor agency board member, said that "demand for employees remains high" as Germany enjoys steadily strong exports and a recovery in domestic demand.
The German economy — Europe's biggest — stands out in the 17-nation eurozone for having weathered the global economic downturn.
