[도쿄=AP/KNS뉴스통신] 닌텐도는 2011년 2분기 실적이 적자를 기록했다고 발표하고 올해 전망치도 하향 조정했다.
지난 4월부터 6월까지 3개월 실적은 255억엔 적자를 기록하면서 지난해 동기의 252억 엔 보다 적자폭이 더 늘었다.
닌텐도는 8월 11일 일본에서 새로 출시되는 닌텐도 3DS의 일본 판매가격을 2만 5,000엔에서 1만 5,000엔으로 인하하기로 결정한 것으로 알려졌다.
2012년 3월 말로 끝나는 올해 순이익 예상 실적을 1,110억엔에서 200억엔으로 하향 조정했다.

Nintendo posts loss, cuts forecast and 3DS price
TOKYO (AP) — Nintendo Co. says it stayed deep in the red in the latest quarter, prompting the Japanese video game giant to cut its full-year forecasts and slash prices on its new 3DS handheld device.
Nintendo posted a net loss of 25.5 billion yen ($324 million) in the April-June period, worse than the 25.2 billion yen loss a year earlier.
The Kyoto-based company blamed lackluster sales on a dearth of hit titles for the Wii and 3DS, as well as a strong yen.
To fuel momentum, Nintendo decided it needed to drop prices. The 3DS will cost 15,000 yen in Japan starting Aug. 11, down from 25,000 yen.
It cut its profit forecast for the fiscal year through March 2012 to 20 billion yen from 110 billion yen.
