[서울=AP/KNS뉴스통신] 현대 자동차는 27일 2011년 2분기 3개월 동안의 매출액과 당기 순이익이 각각 20조 1,000억 원(19%), 2조 3,100 원(37%)을 달성한 것으로 밝혔다.
현대자동차는 지난해 동기에 매출액과 당기 순이익이 각각 16조 9,000억 원, 1조 6,800억 원의 순이익을 보고했었다.
금년 상반기 6개월 동안 현대는 196만대의 자동차를 판매한 것으로 보고했다. 현대자동차와 기아자동차 그룹은 세계 제 5위의 자동차 메이커이다.

Hyundai Motor 2Q profit rises 37 percent
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — Hyundai Motor says net profit rose 37 percent in the second quarter of this year as revenue increased.
The company said Thursday in a regulatory filing that it earned 2.31 trillion won ($2.2 billion) in the three months ended June 30. The company earned 1.68 trillion won the same period last year.
Hyundai said sales revenue during the period rose 19 percent to 20.1 trillion won from 16.9 trillion won a year earlier.
Hyundai said separately that vehicle sales in the first six months of the year increased 11 percent to 1.96 million.
Hyundai Motor Co. is South Korea's largest automaker. The Hyundai Motor Group, which includes Kia Motors Corp., is the world's fifth-largest automotive group.
