[하바나=신화/KNS뉴스통신] 볼리비아 군 최고사령관이 4일 양국 간의 군사관계 강화를 위해 5일 예정으로 쿠바를 방문했다.
볼리비아 군 합동참모총장은 쿠바의 아바나 도착성명에서 “볼리비아와 쿠바는 오랜 기간 동안 단결해 왔으며 양국군의 협력이 계속되어야 한다”고 말했다.
쿠바를 두 번째 방문하는 참모총장은 볼리비아와 쿠바는 형제국이며 군사관계의 강화를 도모해야 한다고 말한 것으로 알려졌다.
쿠바와 볼리비아는 2006년 볼리비아의 에보 모랄레스 대통령 취임 이후 상호관계를 격상해 왔고 보건과 교육 분야에서 협력하기로 합의했다.

Cuba, Bolivia to boost military ties
HAVANA, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Bolivia's military chief arrived in Cuba Monday for a five-day visit to boost bilateral military relations.
"Bolivia and Cuba are united by a long history, and they should have a more continuous ex change between their armed forces," Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Armando Pacheco Gutierrez said upon his arrival at the Caribbean island.
"We are brothers in all areas, so we must develop a sincere friendship between our armed forces," said Pacheco, who is on his second official visit to Cuba. He is accompanied by Pedro Mendiondo Gomez, head of Bolivia's Air Defense and Air Force.
Pacheco is scheduled to meet with his Cuban counterpart, Alvaro Lopez Miera.
Cuba and Bolivia have enhanced their bilateral relations significantly since Bolivia's President Evo Morales took office in 2006, and the two countries have signed a number of cooperation agreements, mostly in the fields of health and education
