[베이징=AP/KNS뉴스통신] 일본과 중국 외무장관이 상호 관계 개선을 촉구하고 나섰다.
중국의 장제츠 외교부장은 4일 방중 중인 일본 마쓰모토 다케아키 외상을 환영하는 가운데 양국장관이 적극적인 모습을 보였다.
마쓰모토 외무상은 양국에게 안정은 중요하다고 말했다.
일본과 중국의 관계가 남중국해에서 유전개발과 일본의 열도 점유로 인해 긴장이 높아진 가운데 지난 달 일본과 미국이 중국에 대해 이 지역 긴장해소에 책임감 있는 행동을 촉구하면서 더욱 악화되었다.

Japan, China FMs call for improved relations
BEIJING (AP) — Japan's and China's foreign ministers are calling for improved relations between the wary Asian rivals.
Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi welcomed Takeaki Matsumoto to Beijing on Monday, and the two struck positive tones.
Matsumoto says stability is important to both nations.
Ties between Japan and China have been strained for years over a contested gas field in the East China Sea and China's claims to Japanese controlled islands. They now face a new strain: Last month Japan and the U.S. agreed to coax China to act more responsibly to address regional tensions.
